I want to adjust the servo cables for the intake and exhaust valves so that they open/close at the optimal RPM to make the most power in the high-revs? I want this to be approximately 7000-12,000 rpms. I do not have a power-prgrmmr or such, but do have a K%26amp;N filter, FMF silencer,hi-per cltch and 1 tooth smaller front sprocket.

From your question it sounds like you are confused about the variable exhaust valve system. The valve in the exhaust system which is controlled by the bikes computor and moved by the servo motor and cables has NOTHING to do with the engine exhaust/intake valves. As far as I know there is no optimum power setting or tuning to it. You simply set it as described in the manual. After removing the lower part of the fairing you can see the lower pulley, there are dots on it. At idle to a certain engine speed the pulley is in one position. As you rev the engine the pulley changes to two other postions through the rev range (I can't remember the RPM shift points). You simply change the cable adjustment to make sure the pulley travels to the correct position when it changes, there is no majic setting. If fact most aftermarket exhaust systems simply do away with the valve which tells you that it is really not all that effective anyway.

Do the amount of channels on a r/c radio relate to how many servos it can control??
exactly... a 2 channel radio can control 2 servos. Typically for cars and boats. 4, 5, 6 and more are typically used for planes and helicopters.
However, you can contorl multiple servos from 1 channel with a Y harness, typically used for V-tails, flaperons, etc.Do the amount of channels on a r/c radio relate to how many servos it can control??

Can a servo motor be directly controlled by a pc?
On board car computers do it all the time. I see no reason a laptop or desktop PC could not.
R/C Aircraft control rods servos?
I have brought a plane off the internet but I have thrown myself in at the deep end... I has a controller and some servos and I have managed to wire it up electrically but I haven't got a clue how to connect the servos to the ailerons. Are there any good guides on the internet?R/C Aircraft control rods servos?
Go to a local hobby shop near you and they should be able to help you out with connecting the servos to the ailerons.

New to robotics. Controlling a servo?
So I need a servo to move 90 degrees, and I read somewhere that you connect the reference wire to something and make the signal 1.5ms and it will make the servo rotate 90 degrees. I need to know what that ';something'; is.New to robotics. Controlling a servo?
You are new to servos so let me try to sort out some ideas for you. A servo is a system that can move a load at a predetermined rate...a rate servo. The sort of thing that drives a radar aerial at an airport...going round and round irrespective of the wind load on the aerial. Another type of servo is the positional servo which will move from one position to another at a predetermined rate...sort of thing that moves machinery from one position to another.
The servo itself can be hydraulic, electric, or pneumatic. The hydraulic system will need a source of high pressure oil as the ';power'; supply. The electric servo needs electricity as its power supply and the pneumatic servo needs a supply of compressed air as its power supply.
My knowledge is in electric servos and there are 3 distinct types depending on the motor technology. There is the stepping or stepper motor. This type of motor moves a precise angle for a pulse of energy applied to it. The angle of movement is fixed for each motor type and the list of angles is endless. Slight disavantage of the stepper motor is that it's torque output is fixed and if it is stalled then althought energy is being put in at the front end no movement will come out of the motor. The true servo motor can be either AC or DC. Why true servo motor because servos are the high performance motor...the GTI of the motor world. There have to deliver high performance all the time and must not fail so their carefull application is important.
A Rate servo need to have a speed sensor attached to the motor so that the control system can see how fast the motor is rotating. The Positional servo needs to have the speed sensor and a rotary position sensor so that the control system can determine both speed and positional control.
So getting back to your question, I would think that your wire should go to a stepper motor control drive and the stepper motor connected to the drive. By closing your signal the correct number of times you will get the motor to turn 90 degrees.

The quick answer is a servo control PCB. These are circuit boards made specifically to control servos and be controlled by a PC connection (USB or serial). I carry several in my store. The smallest ones usually control up to 16 servos.
I carry ones by Yost Engineering, Robotics Connection, and Hitec Robotics. There are others made by companies like Parallax, Phidgets or Blue Point Engineering.
I'll assume you want to keep this simple and continue to use your existing transmitters rather than starting from scratch by building your own transmitters -- that'd be a MUCH bigger project. The boards mentioned below would imply that you're willing to be ';tethered';, and your use of R/C in the question implies you wish to remain wireless.
Your typical PWM R/C servo transmitter system uses voltage changes (usually caused through the use of potentiometers/joysticks) to modulate the content of the RF signal that your transmitter to your receiver. You can accomplish the same thing by generating the voltage using D to A (Digital to Analog) circuits. You'll need to meter the circuit to determine typical voltages generated by the pots and generate that same range of voltages externally and feed them into the circuit in place of the voltages created by the pots.
Many companies sell A to D and D to A boards for PCs. Some operate over USB, and others plug directly into the computer's backplane.
You then use those voltages to replace the potentiometers on your transmitters.
You then write simple software to control the output of these D to A boards which in turn control your R/C transmitters.
Some companies you might want to include in your investigation include National Instruments (www.ni.com), and IOTech (www.iotech.com). Measurement Computing (www.measurementcomputing.com) has some reasonably inexpensive USB models that are well worth a look -- see 4 channel unit at the following link:
